Sales Committee

Volunteers include KISD staff, community business leaders, parents of current & past students, KISD Alumni, and other interested individuals. The Committee strives to have representatives from each of the KISD high school FFA booster clubs.

The Committee members assist the Katy ISD Agriculture Advisors in operating the Auction through various means. Examples of volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Acting as buyer liaison throughout the year
• Community & Booster Club education regarding auction & becoming a buyer
• Assisting the Ag. Advisors with the KISD Junior Sales Committee
• Buyer registration
• Assisting & greeting at the Buyers Dinner 
• Coordinating the project animals in sale order through stock chutes during the auction
• Assisting with the photos of each buyer with the FFA students & their project animals during the Auction
• Acting as Runners during the Auction
• Collecting “Add On” forms during the Auction
• Acting as Spotters during the Auction
• Coordinating refreshments for the buyers during the auction with the FFA students

The Committee meetings typically occur during the school year and leading up to the KISD FFA Livestock Show & Auction.
